When you read a lot of novels, you sometimes get to the point of feeling that the life depicted on novels are always very short part of one characters life, and it's always a few years, and they do so much in that time, you feel like a lot time has passed even though it has only been a few days at best, a life that seems really fulfilling. A lot of Light Novels, like the Isekai are kinda stuff that they were so useless in this world, but after like some kind of reset they found a new fulfilling life to lead that isn't like the old one, and that life they wanna live to the fullest only because they know that this life is something you don't wanna waste and fulfill it things you wanna do and live life the way you want and die the way you want, a life with meaning. Most people in the real world live meaningless lives and they don't even realise that until they spend decades and become old... until then they dive in the misleading life that the society depicts as the ideal and tell them to do if they want to live, only to live, they probably think something will change if you keep on living. But all you are getting is a truly meaningless life because you are only doing this to be in a society, to live, and to get by, all of that focus on your life goes into that and nothing you wanna do comes. Your mind deteriotes, you don't care about stuff, you just wanna make money, you just wanna get more money and you just wanna pay your bills, to pass by in the society, the meaningless life depicted by the society. People 1000 years had less life expectancy, but they lived their life to the fullest, unlike what people have done today, even if you think your life is fullfilling, is this life something you decided or the society? former is a path full of hardships and fulfillment, the latter is the easy path to living a meaningless life. Sure, you make money, sure you have a random ass job at some random ass company, doing some random ass work that the society sees you as a working person that "benefits" the society and you, but that job is something you don't even wanna do, and you get taxed up your ass left and right for no reason because "that's how the society works" they say. Don't think having a damn "job" your meaningless ass "jobs" mean anything to being meaningful, you only feel something is meaningful when A, it is something your minds want to do, B you will die living that life. If you do not want to live life like that, you have on your hand a what? A Meaningless Life.
I was reading Sword Art Online, Volume 22, Kiss and Fly (spoilers incoming), and there is a character Merida, who was not part of the VR killing incident, she was out of that hell apparently, but when she heard of someone else having a Nerve Gear inside a hospital that there was SAO players in, in a meeting with Yuuki and Aiko where Aiko had the Augmented Nerve Gear, she invited Merida to VR diving in the same hospital on Yuu's birthday, but she wore the Nerve Gear which had the SAO disk loaded in... she didn't dive immediately, but meeted Yuu and Aiko in Serene Garden to tell them her decision. She wanted to get back into SAO, because she wanted to be with her friends in the death game rather than die in a hospital or perhaps live in the stupid real life reality, she wanted a life with meaning. The fact that she was fixated on going back in SAO was something after the first volume of SAO, everyone in SAO, players, who were supposed to be afraid of SAO, did play other VR games because they found something in VR that meant fulfilling to them than to real life. This is something that hit me for real not going to lie. I see people everyday everywhere, but all they mostly do is live life without meaning in society and with the psychology that this life they are getting is "fun" and "amazing", this is what happens when you build robots in a society and see what happens, what you get is a distopia. We are living in a really horrible psychological distopia. If I die tommorow, or anytime soon, atleast I can tell myself in the afterlife that I didn't waste time living a stupid life like the society depicted just to live. If there is an answer to the question to "What is there even in life" is death. The faster you die, the better, the people telling you otherwise are wrong. If I died earlier than you, I actually got out of this shitty life before you, so I'm actually more happier than you. When our loved ones die, we should be sad that they left us and should be happy that they left this shitty world. Or sad if they didn't live a meaningful life. We mourn for great people because they did a lot of great things. We mourn for people who lived less of a time, dies early, but they made one of the important contributions that changed the human society, their life had meaning. If you think being a normal person and living in a societal depicted world until dying of old age is the life of a human and a soul in this world, then you basically lived a meaningless life. If I had something like SAO intentionally, I'd hop in, because this the entertainment of a lifetime, how'd I not miss it? I'd die living a life that I want, than live slowly, wasting time, and passing away. That's not cool. People will hate you, and people will give you reality checks or whatever, will tell you "you will die early", the correct answer is "Rather die early doing what I want than die late doing nothing in life". You only get one life, don't waste it and do what you want, that's the way to live life man, just live it, do whatever the fuck you want, if you die, you atleast lived it like you wanted instead of what others told you to live like, you werent a robot, you werent a workhorse, and you didn't live a fucked up life.
Hmm... okay this blog post was a bit deep, but SAO is really hitting me with Unital Ring and all this VR stuff, because its like a story of stories, and some person's 6-8 years of lifetime, something they would experience in decades only in those times and probably die like a hero, instead of dying like a workhorse. Society functioned back then even with people wanting to do what they want, because they did see the society then wanted to do what they want and their wants actually helped the society because the society didn't ask for it, but the people did. Now stuff happens how the society wants it not the people, and certainly not the intelligent individuals. Education is at a really bad situation. Jobs are something I'd never wanna get into because its a meaningless piece of work that makes money but the company does nothing but pure shit. Businesses do help buy sell stuff, but even them do not really help in anything. The real piece of field work, the real pieces that builds up a society are not given much education in the regard, and students and PEOPLE in general are made to be stupid and follow the society in the abstract terms as how the upper control wants it, no one wants smarts students changing the society for the better, because a better society is something the higher ups do not want, a fucked up society is more easy to handle, because anything goes. All because that gives people and them a life both can be filled with money and meaningless happiness. Really hurts me to death to see this kind of society and live in the same time. People in creative are seen as lowly people, same with agriculture people, people do not want to be farmers because that SUCKS? you kidding ME? like are you fucking DUMB? Like no, some people do think practicality, then I see a weird ass curved ass building on the street and other people go "That looks like a nice building!" and me "Why the fuck does this exist". Of course, you will only get the correct reaction from people who are not robots. If you have friends who live meaningless lives because they wanna "live" and they do cannot live doing what they want then they should probably just die, simple as that. This society doesn't want unique people like us, we do not fit in this society, we fit in an alternative reality, we want a life that's unique, we do not want to die a meaningless death, rather do what we want and die with meaning.
Hey, if I died tommorow, just know that atleast I lived a life that I wanted, I am not depressed, sad, or unhappy. I'm happy right now, I do what I want to do, and I have been living the dreams that was just dreams before, I lived happily so there's no regret, This death wasn't meaningless. Just know that.
